Oh My Girl Profile

I’m really falling in love with this adorable girl group, Oh My Girl or some calls them OMG, they're the sister group of B1A4. The group consists of 8 members. I really like their concept; it’s dreamy, magical-like, mystical, colorful and fun. Their songs are mostly upbeat, pop and mellow. I really love listening to their sweet voices, it’s soothing. Although they might look all girly, they’re dorks and they get hyped whenever they interact with fans or on a show. My most favorite is Seunghee, the main vocalist of the group. Her high notes are so sweet!

The girls surprised everyone with their repackaged album… releasing a new song called ‘Windy day’. You should check that out too… I promise you you’ll like it.

Fan girl inside of me... KPOP!

      Here’s the thing, being a fan girl isn’t always about being crazy and being overly obsessed and possessive… I understand how you feel about your biases and favorite groups but definitely I don’t know why some would spend thousands of money just for their kpop idols, exception for those who are rich kids but still there are better things than that, right? I mean you don’t get any benefits aside from meeting them and screaming until you lose your voice… they always get the money…they get profit… soooo… you lose some and they earn a lot.

      I am not a hater. I am a FAN as well. It’s just that I’m a different kind of fan. I am the practical kind of fan. I’d rather save my money for other things like for school projects, food, and my daily necessities and for my FUTURE. I’m the kind of fan who downloads songs for free and find many ways to check out on my biases and favorite groups through the magical world of INTERNET. I am not going to waste my money in digital downloads, albums, CDs, posters, other kpop merchandise and most of all concerts but if I got the chance or I was blessed to have an opportunity to attend…why not?

    Now, let’s focus on the things I don't like, I don't like fan girls who are obsessed and overly possessive towards their biases.  The thoughts I always have in my mind when I encounter this kind of girls are: “Girl! He doesn’t even know you!”, “I know you’re a fan but you don’t own HIM.”, “Why are you crying?” (This specific thought is always hanging around my mind whenever I see a fan girl cry.) , “Why act like he’s your boyfriend?” (I do that sometimes but NOT to the point of arguing and fighting other girls and I know that it’s just a dream and there’s only 0.00000000000…1% that it will happen) and other thoughts that could appear in my head. It’s fine to scream but when it’s only necessary… You still have to choose the place you’re going to spazz about your bias. Sometimes I get influenced because who wouldn’t be? Especially if you’re surrounded by your own kind but I always slap myself into reality and I always tell myself that I’m not a screaming hyena (I don’t know what I just said.)

     Anyways, we all have different characteristics and personalities. We can’t change anyone to our liking and we can’t push what we want them to do. Just remember being a fan isn’t measured on how many merchandise, concerts, events and information you have. You can be a fan by simply supporting through little things like commenting positively, avoiding fan wars, avoiding commenting negatively on other fandoms, helping in raising their views in YT, online votes or maybe supporting them through your talent. There so many possibilities…
